The shoot came from Andoni wanting to push himself outside his comfort zone, let go of creative control, and experience being fully seen rather than being the one doing the seeing.

The edit was influenced by a set of two ’90s photographs gifted to me by a septuagenarian friend. The photos feature their first romance following the loss of his long-term partner to AIDS. In the images, a nude man is reclined on a sofa in the first, and doing a handstand in the second. The analogue photos have a heavy blue saturation, losing some detail while still revealing the form of the body.
